The Merlin S620 Wireless PC Card Modem offers more freedom, and higher speeds than ever before when it comes to mobile connectivity. Slightly larger than a credit card, Merlin S620 is a powerful addition to the Merlin Family of Wireless PC Card Modems. It provides extensive and reliable wireless data communications at speeds up to 144 kbps packet switched data.

PC S620 Mobile Broadband Capable
Where coverage is available, experience broad–like download speeds using the PC S620 and EV–DO technology. The average download speeds range from 400 to 700 Kbps with peak rates up to 2 Mbps.

Compatibility
The PC S620 is designed for Windows 2000/XP with a Type II PC Card slot.

Advanced Power Management
The PC S620's operating voltage of 3.3V provides longer laptop computer battery life.

Software
The PC S620 includes Sprint PCS Connection ManagerSM software for connectivity to the Nationwide Sprint PCS Network. This easy–to–use software provides a common user interface across multiple mobile computing devices and self–diagnostic tools to simplify set up, support and troubleshooting.

Antenna
The PC S620's rugged and durable embedded antenna has an advanced multi–band/diversity design that maximizes data throughput. An external antenna connector and optional accessories (sold separately) makes it possible to maximize throughput in fringe areas.

Compression
Data has been compressed by the Sprint Network in order to optimize the connection speed and enhance the wireless experience when using the PC S620.

Security
CDMA wireless technology employs an extensive authentication and identification system for top–security. The Mobile Identification Number (MIN) and Electronic Serial Number (ESN) together with CDMA spread spectrum technology make it virtually impossible for unauthorized users to capture and decipher messages and other sensitive information.

EV-DO Broadband Access
The PC S620 uses Sprint’s EV-DO broadband network. The EV-DO network is the clear leader among 3G high-speed wireless options, providing users with lightning fast Internet access. Already available in 32 U.S. metro areas, EV-DO delivers faster speeds than any other wireless data network, offering users average speeds of 300-500kbps, with downloads peaking at 2.4mbps. EV-DO coexists with Sprint’s CDMA 1xRTT network, ensuring that PC S620 users will have excellent coverage throughout the nation.
