The Cingular BlackBerry 8700c™ is an international Quad-Band device with EDGE capability, utilizing Cingular’s latest high-speed wireless networks. The 8700c provides leading BlackBerry® functionality with a full QWERTY keyboard, SEND and END buttons for enhanced voice functionality, and a bright, self-adjusting, full color screen. The 8700c also has Bluetooth® capability, a slimmer form factor, and 64 MB of memory.

The new BlackBerry 8700c balances sleek design with increased performance and functionality. The BlackBerry 8700c is thinner and lighter than previous models – making it feel more like a cell phone – while still maintaining a full QWERTY keyboard with extended number pad.

The BlackBerry 8700c’s bright, high resolution QVGA color LCD screen provides ample workspace for viewing email, web pages and applications. Intelligent light sensing technology automatically optimizes screen lighting for indoor and outdoor viewing.

EDGE High Speed Data Network
The BlackBerry 8700c runs on the high speed EDGE network. EDGE delivers speeds nearly twice as fast as any other national data network, offering average download speeds of 70 - 135 kilobits per second (Kbps) and burst speeds up to 200 Kbps. The EDGE network performs at more than three times the speed of GPRS and nearly twice the speed of CDMA 1xRTT.
