It offers improved wireless email and Internet access, a 1.3 MegaPixel camera, video recorder, speakerphone, and MP3 player. The 700w gives you access to your favorite Microsoft applications through Windows Mobile 5, supports Bluetooth, and has 128 MB of memory.

Verizon Treo 700w Improved Phone Performance
The Treo 700w smartphone combines the user friendly design of a cell phone with Palm’s advanced features and functionality. Carry thousands of business and personal phone numbers with you, and dial any of them directly from your contacts list, QWERTY keyboard, or on-screen dial pad. Speakerphone, speed dial, conference calling, call history, caller ID, and distinct Send/End keys make managing all your calls that much easier. The Visual caller ID is yet another feature of the Treo 700w, along with Polyphonic and MP3 ring tones. Use these features to customize your rings for individual callers, or attach a picture to a phone book number in your address book to create customized caller alerts.

EV-DO Broadband Access
The Treo 700w uses Verizon’s EV-DO broadband network. The EV-DO network is the clear leader among 3G high-speed wireless options, providing users with lightening fast Internet access. Already available in 32 U.S. metro areas, EV-DO delivers faster speeds than any other wireless data network, offering users average speeds of 300-500kbps, with downloads peaking at 2.4mbps. EV-DO coexists with Verizon’s CDMA 1xRTT network, ensuring Treo users will have excellent coverage throughout the nation.

Microsoft® Windows Mobile™
The wide range of applications for the Windows Mobile-based Pocket PC feature a familiar interface and consistent functionality, so they’re easy to learn and use right away. Pocket versions of popular Microsoft applications let you easily update and share the same data.

New Microsoft software for Windows Mobile™-based devices includes the PowerPoint® Mobile™ application for viewing presentations while on-the-go, and Excel® Mobile™ with chart support for an improved email attachment viewing experience. The Treo 700w also includes versions of familiar applications such as Microsoft Outlook®, Pocket Internet Explorer 4.0, Windows Media™ Player 10, and Microsoft Word.

Treo Email Wireless Email
The Treo 700 allows you to send and receive email directly from the device. Send and receive email in real time, as well as view photos, video, HTML and native Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint attachments Built-In Email Includes full access to Microsoft Outlook®, in addition to POP3 and IMAP email clients. Pocket MSN® offers a fully integrated smart data service offering universal sign-in; MSN Hotmail® and Inbox integration, plus MSN® Messenger alerts. Microsoft® Exchange ActiveSync® allows for wireless integration with Exchange Server 2003. You can also synchronize your Treo 700 with your desktop. The Sync application supports popular business email solutions, as well as most familiar ISPs like Yahoo! and EarthLink.

With the Treo 700 and Verizon’s EV-DO network, you can access the internet at broadband speeds using your Microsoft Pocket Internet Explorer Browser. Its powerful Intel™ PXA272 processor combined with its vibrant display provides a rich wireless web viewing experience.

The browser supports multiple Internet standards, such as HTML, cHTML and WAP, and provides multiple web viewing options. Optimized viewing minimizes horizontal scrolling and makes content fit the small screen, while wide screen view provides the familiar interface of a desktop web browser. An online search feature and quick links to popular content such as news, sports, movies, stock quotes and weather allow you to locate information quickly and easily.

Powerful Organizer
Microsoft ActiveSync® (version 4.1) allows for fast and easy synchronization of email, contacts, calendar, tasks, and documents lets you organize business and personal information in one convenient place. The Treo 700w’s 128MB of memory allows you to store thousands of entries, email messages, documents and pictures. You can also use your Treo 700 to view, edit, and create Word and Excel compatible documents and view PowerPoint compatible files.

Treo 700 Keyboard Sharper Display/Enhanced User Interface
The Treo 700w’s vibrant 240 x 240 touchscreen, with more than 65,000 colors, is easy to read -- even in sunlight. The enhanced user interface includes an improved backlit QWERTY keyboard that makes messaging, web surfing and even dialing phone numbers much easier. You can transfer your pictures to your computer, or send them straight to a friend via email or MMS. The built-in camcorder lets you record videos, play them on the LCD screen and easily save them right on the device.

Treo MP3 MP3 Player
The Treo 700w lets you play MP3s and RealAudio files directly from its built in speaker. (You can also attach stereo headphones to the device.) You can organize your songs by creating and editing play lists right on your smartphone and view a full display of current tracks playing using Windows Media Player 10 Mobile. The Treo 700w’s MP3 player also allows you to transfer your personal music collection to an expansion card (sold separately) to play on the Treo 700w smartphone.

128MB Memory
This new Treo has over twice the memory of its predecessor, and is more than sufficient for storing emails, documents, pictures, ring tones, music, or downloading applications. Save pictures, video and Word documents directly to your device or use the portable memory card to store files while transporting from one computer to the next.
